Make sure your picks are in at Fantasydiscgolf.com and get ready for some great action as names like  Nathan Doss and Eric McCabe face off in a showdown to remember. I will be playing in the Gateway Disc Sports League for this one. Come join me.

Once Again if you have any questions feel free to ask. I think I will be upgrading to a vlog real soon. That way we could cover more disc golf news. I will try to have a player update out before the game starts on the 24th. Thanks for taking your time to check out my blog.

Are you ready for next week? I know i am and even if you have to wait two months until you can make your pick for The FDG Gold Tour   you still can play in The "Steady" Ed League presented by DGA and don't forget the maker of one of my favorite putter still has one going on, Gateway Disc Sports League. Best part is both of them are FREE. So get ready for The St. Patrick's Classic in Orangevale, CA.

The St. Patrick's Classic hosted at Shady Oaks in Orangevale, CA.
Fri, Mar 16 - Sun, Mar 18

A few things to take in mind before making your pick.

I'm going to be honest with you. This is not a hard week and there are not to many "Big Name" Pros in this one. Make sure you Look at the "Current Registration" and and make sure you only pick players who are playing in The St. Patrick's Classic. Lets hope that more players get around to register because as of right now there are only seven plus 1000 ratings playing. Player ratings are important.

If you wanna know, right now my pick to win is Steve Rico[1030]. Two reasons.

Number one- he is currently the top ranked player registered in the Classic. Number two, he placed first last year in The St. Patrick's Classic.

Also you have to look at Josh Anthon[1035]. Highest ranked registered player so as of today and placed 5th in last years classic. This could change in the next week.

Good Luck to you all and remember that I will do my best to update this a few times a week to keep in the loop.

Interview with Nate Doss

Now less then four days away until The Memorial Championship and the kickoff off a new season of Fantasy Disc Golf I found myself wanting to know more about my picks. I needed to make sure I was picking the right players for the job. After spending hours searching players on PDGA it came to me. I can just ask the players myself, right?... How hard can that be?...

When asked the number one world ranking Disc Golf player and just an amazing guy, Nate Doss how he felt about the competition he faces this year but mostly in The Memorial Championship he replied,

"I have never thought that I would walk away with any event I have every played in. The competition in the sport now is simply amazing and I prepare myself to play the best I can."

I also asked him what he was looking forward to the most this year. With that he replied,

"Every year, I always look forward to the next adventure. Living our life on the road bring a lot of new experiences, and I look forward to that every year."

Thanks a lot Nate and I really hope you have a great year this year. I must of forgot to to ask if he was playing in a fantasy league but ill leave that for another time. As for deciding my pick.Well if you don't have Nate Doss as one of your picks then your still wasting your time. If you waste your time your never going to win shit from PlayFantasyDiscGolf.com. You will still have a ton of fun yeah, but you might not win much. To me, winning is fun. I don't know it's your call, but
 I'm sold.

Get it right the FIRST time

If your anything like me then your excited to all levels about the new Fantasy Disc Golf league. This is just one of many new ways to get the fans more involved in the sport on a player level. Oh and not to mention all the great giveaways they are already having which makes it even sweeter.
One thing i do have to point out. Above everything else right now, people are picking player to win that are not even playing in the event. WHY? I don't understand why anyone would do that. REALLY!?Would you play your fantasy football like that? Are you going to play your kicker who has the week off? I don't think so. Sorry for being so harsh but if you want to win don't waste your time.
Players such as Markus Källström, Shane Seal, Barry Schultz, and JohnE McCray have no current registration in The Memorial Championship, and just them players alone total over 8% of the percentage picked. So in short, Don't waste 8% of your time. Do you homework people...
This is the first tournament of the year. Pick some big names and go with it. We really don't know who is hot yet, right? Oh yea, and DO NOT FORGET to use that little PDGA link next to your players name. It would really suck ass if you figure out that the reason you did not get any points is because your players  membership is not current or to find out he has came in last on his last 10 games.

Here are a few links that you WILL find helpful when it comes to making your Fantasy Disc Golf picks.
